WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's soccer team travels to North Carolina Friday evening for the final ACC road game of the season. The Demon Deacons then return to Winston-Salem to close out the regular season against Duke on Sunday, Oct. 29. The game against the Blue Devils is a make-up from earlier in the season.
The Demon Deacons enter the game against the Tar Heels on a one-game winning streak. In the last outing, Wake Forest played into double-overtime against Miami. Senior Lindsey Jaco scored the game-winner of a header with five minutes remaining to give the Deacs the win. The victory over the Hurricanes improved the Deacs 13-4 overall and 5-3 in the ACC.
UNC comes into the match on a 17-game winning streak. North Carolina owns a 17-1 overall record and a 9-0 mark in the ACC, which clinches the No. 1 seed in the upcoming ACC Tournament.
After this weekend, the Demon Deacons will await their seeding for the ACC Championship that will be held in Cary, N.C. from Nov. 1-5.
