
No. 2 Wake Forest Field Hockey Hosts Radford

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 2 Wake Forest field hockey team will host Radford, Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. The Demon Deacons are riding a two-game winning streak and have outscored opponents 14-4 in the those games.
Wake Forest enters the game after a thrilling overtime victory over No. 6 North Carolina last weekend. The Demon Deacons trailed for the majority of the match until junior Chelsea Cipriani scored the equalizer and pushed it into overtime with no time remaining. In the overtime stanza, sophomore Michelle Kasold scored the game-winner 13 minutes into the period.
On the season, the Deacs have 15 different players with goals, but it is sophomores Kasold and Christine Suggs that are leading the way with 11 each. Kasold also leads the Deacs with seven assists.
Against Radford, Wake Forest leads the series, 12-6-1, and is currently on a 10-game winning streak against the Highlanders. In eight of the last nine outings, the Deacs have earned shutouts, including a 4-0 victory last season. Radford enters the game with a 4-7 mark overall.
