WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will be seeking its fifth straight victory when it hosts ACC leader Duke on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Reynolds Gym. The match will be broadcast live on www.ACCSelect.com.
The Demon Deacons enter the match tied for third in the ACC with a 5-1 record. Wake is just one game back of undefeated Duke, meaning a Demon Deacon victory on Tuesday would put them in an early tie for first in the ACC.
Wake Forest is coming off a pair of back-to-back conference wins against Virginia Tech and Virginia last weekend in Winston-Salem. The Demon Deacons rallied from a two-games-to-one deficit to defeat the Hokies in five and then followed that performance with a commanding sweep of the Cavaliers on Saturday.
The Deacs are currently 9-6 overall and have won five of their last six matches.
Duke enters the match riding a six-match winning streak. The Blue Devils are 13-2 overall and 6-0 in the ACC. Duke is also coming off a weekend sweep of Virginia and Virginia Tech, defeating the Cavaliers in four on Friday and the Hokies in three on Saturday.
Tuesday's meeting will be the 45th in the all-time series. Duke holds a 35-9 all-time advantage and has won five straight over the Deacons, dating back to the 2003 season.
Wake Forest will remain at home this coming weekend, as it hosts three-time defending ACC champion Maryland on Friday and new ACC rival Boston College on Saturday.
