Drum scored a game-high 18 points and was 5-of-8 from three-point range to lead the Deacons, who shot 53.5 percent from the field and 51.5 percent (17-of-33) from three-point range. Visser, the 6-11 center, was a perfect 5-of-5 from the field en route to 13 points, two assists and a blocked shot.
"Today was good in terms of getting one more opportunity to play," said head coach Skip Prosser. "It gives us a lot to work on. I thought we shot the ball too quickly, and we had too many turnovers in our haste to shoot. We also need to get our forwards more involved.
"Defensively, we didn't do a good enough job of making people miss tonight. We have to keep getting better every day, especially from a defensive standpoint."
The Demon Deacons played two 15-minute halves, including a running clock in the first half, and some players switched teams at halftime.
Anthony Gurley made 5-of-8 field goals, including three 3-pointers, en route to 15 points. Point guard Ishmael Smith scored seven points, made his only three-point attempt and dished out a game-high five assists. Casey Crawford, 6-9, sank 3-of-4 three-point attempts in scoring 11 points.
Freshman L.D. Williams scored seven points, including a high-flying dunk on a pass from Smith, and had two assists. Seven-footer Chas McFarland had three of Wake's six offensive rebounds and scored seven points.
Freshman forward Jamie Skeen, who suffered a sprained knee in practice on Thursday, did not play.
Sophomore guard Harvey Hale, Wake's leading returning scorer, poured in 14 points.
The Deacons shot the ball well, making 38-of-71 (.535) field goal attempts and 17-of-33 (.515) three-pointers. They committed 17 turnovers to go along with 15 assists.
