Harris is the fifth NABC All-South Atlantic District first-team selection under head coach Steve Forbes and the sixth overall since 2022.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Wake Forest sophomore guard Juke Harris has been named an NABC All-South Atlantic District first-team selection, as announced by the organization on Tuesday. With Harris' selection, the Demon Deacons have had a first-team honoree five-straight years – the second-longest stretch in program history after having six-straight from 1992-97.
This is Harris' third season-long honor, after the Salisbury, N.C., native was named ACC Most Improved Player and All-ACC second-team. The sophomore has pieced together one of the best individual seasons in program history, as he is currently averaging 21.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
Harris is one of just three players in program history to score more than 700 points in a single season, joining Wake Forest Sports Hall of Famers Dickie Hemric and Len Chappell.
Most Points Scored In Single Season In School History
Harris is one of just six players nationally – and one of two guards – to average more than 21 points and six rebounds per game.
Players Averaging 21 Points, 6 Rebounds Per Game This Season
After averaging 6.1 points per game against a freshman, Harris' 15.2 points per game increase this year is the largest of any player at the Division I level.
Scoring Increase Leaders (Nationally)
During the 18-game ACC regular season slate, Harris averaged 22.9 points per game – the second-highest average in the ACC this season and the highest of any Demon Deacon on record since Charlie Davis in 1970-71. He also was the first Wake Forest player to score 30 or more three times against ACC opponents in a single season since 1996-97.
With 10 points against Virginia Tech in the first round of the ACC Tournament and 22 points against Clemson in the second round, Harris has recorded 33-straight games reaching a double-digit scoring total – the longest stretch in a single season in program history.
