Wake Forest Head Coach Skip Prosser
On the game in general...
"I have to give a lot of credit to Richmond. The team played a game two nights ago, but they controlled tempo in the first half. Praise Richmond for how well they played in first half. We couldn't score in the first half. We were really, really ineffective offensively. We wanted to take them out of their comfort zone and make them play faster than what they'd like to."
On halftime talk...
"With this team, you have to teach a lot and you have to try to stay positive. You have to keep teaching. We talked the last few days about preparing. We count on so many of our players."
On playing veteran teams...
"Time will tell. As I said, stay positive and keep teaching. Was a teachable moment and we will see if lesson is learned. Can't get much clear of how we have to play to be successful."
On L.D. Williams...
"I thought he played with great defensive energy. He feels miserable because of the missed free throws against Virginia Tech. He worked hard to atone for that."
On Richmond's young team...
"We are young, but they may be younger. I think their team is going to be good."
Richmond Head Coach Chris Mooney
On the game in general...
"I think from our standpoint, we played very well in the first half. We defended them well. They turned up the heat in second half. I think my young team wasn't able to handle that. They (Wake Forest) are a young team. They will improve a lot. Give them a lot of credit."
On the second half...
"They were able to attack us from perimeter. Their interior defense was better than our perimeter. They were able to drive around us with too much ease."
