WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team hopes to crack its season long three game losing streak with its first ACC road victory, Thursday night against Boston College. Game time against the Eagles is set for 7 p.m.
The Demon Deacons enter the road trip after a tough pair of games against North Carolina and Maryland last weekend. Against the Tar Heels, Deacon senior Liz Strunk and freshman Deirdre Naughton were the only two players with double figures, while in the close overtime loss to Maryland, three players scored in double-figures, including senior Cotelia Bond-Young who tied her season-high with 29 points.
Boston College enters the game with the Deacs coming off of a solid 75-66 victory over NC State on Monday night. Despite just two conference victories, BC is ranked as the No. 22/24 in the ESPN/USAToday and Associated Press polls, respectively. The Eagles boast three players who average in double-figures, including Brooke Queenan with 14.0. Queenan also lead the team off the boards, averaging 8.5, which is third in the ACC.
After the game on Thursday night, the Demon Deacons will return home to host Miami on Sunday, Feb. 4 at 3 p.m.
