Davis and Hirsch Continue to Climb ITA Rankings

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Redshirt-sophomore Alex Hirsch and junior Ashlee Davis continue to climb the ITA singles and doubles rankings with both of them cracking the top-50 in singles. The duo also cracked the top-25 as a doubles pair.
Hirsch, who was previously ranked as No. 42 singles player has improved to No. 37, while Davis moved from No. 64 position to No. 49.
So far in 2006, Hirsch has played every match at the No. 1 singles position and has compiled a 6-1 record, including victories over two top-25 opponents. Through seven matches, Davis has played at No. 2 and is the only remaining undefeated singles player on the team.
In doubles, Hirsch and Davis have paired up four times and have earned a 3-1 record. They were previously not ranked.
As a team, the Demon Deacons are currently ranked No. 21.
