No. 9 Wake Forest Women's Soccer Hosts Maryland

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 9 Wake Forest women's soccer team will look to remain undefeated at home as the Demon Deacons host Maryland, Thursday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. The Demon Deacons enter the match with a 9-2 overall record and a perfect 4-0 mark at Spry Stadium.
The ACC game against Maryland will be the Deacs third of the season and first at home. Wake Forest is coming off a split weekend with Virginia and Virginia Tech. Against the Cavaliers, Wake Forest knotted the score with 25 minutes remaining, but Virginia answered five minutes later for the eventual 2-1 victory. Against Virginia Tech, Sarah Winslow scored her third goal in as many games en route to the 3-1 victory.
On the year, Wake Forest has 10 different players with goals, seven of whom have scored multiple times. Senior Elizabeth Remy, junior Megan Upchurch and freshman Allie Sadow each have five goals, while Winslow has four.
Maryland enters the game coming off its ACC season opener against Clemson, a 1-0 overtime loss. The Terrapins have outscored opponents, 10-6, and have three players with multiple goals.
After the game against the Terrapins, the Deacs will host Boston College on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 1 p.m.
