Defensive Notes
Zach Stukes' second quarter fumble recovery was his ACC-leading third of the year.
Alphonso Smith recorded his fourth interception of the season. It is his first interception this year that he did not return for a touchdown.
It was Smith's 10th interception of his career, tying him for the eighth-most career interceptions in school history with Terry Kuharchek (1968-70)
Chip Vaughn's fourth-quarter interception was the first of his career.
Wake Forest held Florida State to 47 yards rushing on 24 carries. This total is the least rushing yards allowed since giving up 26 yards to the Seminoles in 2006.
Attendance
The attendance of 32,906 is the largest of the season and the 15th largest in BB&T Field history
Third-Down Conversions
Wake Forest was 6-of-17 on third-down conversions for the game. All six of the Deacons' conversions came in the second half, as Wake went 6-for-11 in the half.
Florida State was 8-of-19 on third downs. The Seminoles were 3-of-8 in the second half with all three conversions coming on FSU's last scoring drive.
Riley Skinner
Skinner threw two touchdown passes for the first time in his career
Skinner moves into a third-place tie in career wins with 13 (Jay Venuto, 1979-80).
Sam Swank
Swank's fourth-quarter 48-yard field goal was his season long and second of the season over 40 yards (2-2). He is 14-for-18 in his career in attempts from 40-49 yards.
Miscellaneous Notes
Wake Forest has recovered two onside kicks this season (one at Duke, one vs. Florida State). Delon Lowe recovered the one at Duke, while Demir Boldin made the recovery against FSU.
