
Field Hockey Places Three on All-ACC Team

Juniors Minou Gimbrere and Michelle Kasold and sophomore Aileen Davis were named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference team, announced by the conference office today.
Kasold earns All-ACC accolades for the second straight season, while Davis and Gimbrere earn the honor for the first time in their career. At least one Demon Deacon has earned All-ACC honors 10 consecutive seasons.
Playing at midfield, Kasold leads the team in points with 24, including seven goals and a team-leading 10 assists. Kasold has started all 16 games for the Deacons and scored the game-winner against Michigan State on Sept. 30.

The Tar Heels garnered two individual honors including Defensive Player of the Year Rachel Dawson and Coach of the Year Karen Shelton, who led North Carolina to a perfect 18-0 regular season.
