Sam Swank Kicks Three Field Goals- Sam Swank's first field goal of 27 yards was his seventh consecutive successful field goal; his 25-yarder was his eighth consecutive made.
- For Swank, it marked his 17th multi-field goal game and his ninth three-field goal game of his career.
- Swank's third quarter PAT was his 93rd consecutive PAT conversion.
Marion Stymied on Kick Returns
- Kevin Marion, the nation's leading kickoff returner, had just one chance to return a kick as Virginia tried a variety of different kickoffs to keep the ball out of his hands. Marion had a 26-yard return to the Wake Forest 27 late in the fourth quarter.
- Kenneth Moore returned three kickoffs for 55 yards.
Freshman Jordan Williams Makes First Catch of Career
- True freshman wide receiver Jordan Williams made the first catch of his career early in the second quarter. The catch went for a first down.
- Williams, who is the first true freshman to see the field for the Deacs since OG Chris DeGeare in 2005, finished the day with four catches for 18 yards.
Miscellaneous Notes
- Kenneth Moore lined up at quarterback on Wake Forest's first offensive play from scrimmage.
- Today marked the third straight game that the Deacons scored on their first possession.
- Wake Forest has trailed in seven of nine games this season
- Wake Forest was held without a first half touchdown for the first time since the Maryland game on Sept. 22.
- Wake Forest's defense has a takeaway in 24 straight games after recovering a fumble in the first half.
- Kenneth Moore's third quarter TD catch was his fifth receiving TD of the year and his ninth total touchdown on the season
- Wake Forest's third quarter scoring drive of 81 yards in 16 plays marked a season-high for the number of plays in a scoring drive. The 6:53 time of possession for the drive was the second-longest of the season.
