Wake Forest Announces 2007 Spring Schedule

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will host a pair of tournaments to highlight its 2007 spring slate of competition, as announced by head coach Heather Kahl Holmes on Monday.
The Demon Deacons will begin their spring schedule March 24 at defending ACC champion Duke.
Wake will then host a 10-team tournament March 31 at Reynolds Gym. Participating teams include Appalachian State, East Carolina, Gardner-Webb, High Point, North Carolina, UNC Greensboro, NC State, Radford and Virginia Tech.
On April 5, the Deacons will welcome Winthrop to Reynolds Gym at 6 p.m. The Deacs and Eagles went five games in last fall's Black and Gold Challenge before Winthrop came away with the victory.
Wake Forest will host a second tournament to wrap up its spring schedule on April 14. Teams scheduled to participate include Appalachian State, Charlotte, UNC Wilmington, Radford, Virginia Tech and Winthrop.
The Demon Deacons return 11 letterwinners from last year's squad that finished 14-17 overall and 10-12 in the ACC.
Admission is free for all of Wake Forest's spring competition play dates.
2007 Spring Schedule:
March 24 - at Duke
March 31 - Home Tournament (with Appalachian State, East Carolina, Gardner-Webb, High Point, North Carolina, UNC Greensboro, NC State, Radford, Virginia Tech)
April 5 - vs. Winthrop (6 p.m., Reynolds Gym)
April 14 - Home Tournament (with Appalachian State, Charlotte, UNC Wilmington, Radford, Virginia Tech, Winthrop)
