Wake Forest Volleyball to Host Six Summer Camps

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will host six Black and Gold Volleyball Camps this upcoming summer. The Demon Deacons will host a three-day youth commuter camp, three separate positional day camps and two team camps during the month of July.
The 2007 Black and Gold Volleyball Camps kick off with the Youth Commuter Camp July 7-9. This camp is for ages 7-12 and is designed for the beginner volleyball player. This camp will emphasize the basic fundamentals of the game.
The positional day camps will also be held July 7-9. These three camps are designed for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players ages 13-18.
The attacking and blocking day camp will be July 7, the setter/hitter day camp will be July 8 and the ball control and defense day camp will be July 9. All three camps run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wake Forest will also host two team camps July 10-13 and July 14-16. These camps are designed for junior varsity and varsity high school teams.
The Team Skills Camp will run July 10-13. This camp will feature technical instruction on individual skills, in addition to the emphasis of team offensive and defensive strategies and tournament play for competitive experience. The Team Skills Camp runs four days with eight training sessions.
The Team Competition Camp will run July 10-14. This camp will place sole emphasis on team development through competition. This camp will feature "training through playing" and will include a variety of drills focusing on the competitive aspect of the game. The Team Competition Camp runs three days with eight training sessions.
