Men's Tennis Prepares for ITA Regionals

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team will begin play at the ITA Mideast Regionals this Thursday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill.
The event will include pre-qualifying, qualifying and main draws for singles, as well as a doubles main draw. Matches will run through Monday, October 20. Complete results will be posted throughout the tournament at TarHeelBlue.com
Cory Parr and Steven Forman just wrapped up play at the ITA All-Americans in Tulsa, Okla. over the weekend. The second-ranked team advanced to the round of 32 in doubles before they were topped by Texas Tech's Raony Carvalho and Christian Rojmar. In singles, No. 24 Parr defeated No. 29 Holden Segusa of UCLA before falling to No. 17 Connor Pollock of Texas A&M in a 4-6, 6-7(6-8) battle. No. 38 Forman fell to Florida State's Clint Bowles in three sets in the opening round of the singles draw.
David Hopkins, Carlos Salmon and Jonathan Wolff currently lead the Deacons in tournament play with 4-1 singles records. Andrew Brasseaux/David Hopkins and Carlos Salmon/Joost Vogel are the team's doubles leaders with 2-0 records.
