WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The top-ranked Wake Forest men's soccer team will look for its fourth ACC regular season title in the last seven seasons on Saturday at 7 p.m. (ET) as it travels to Chapel Hill, N.C. for a meeting with seventh-ranked North Carolina. The game will be aired live on the web on ACC Select.

The Deacons currently enjoy a four-point lead in the ACC with a 5-0-1 record and 16 points overall. Maryland and Virginia are tied for second in the conference with 12 points apiece. A win over the Tar Heels would give Wake its fourth ACC regular season championship. The 2002, 2004 and 2006 teams also finished the regular season with the best conference record.

Wake Forest picked up its fifth ACC win and 15th overall victory of the season last Saturday with a 5-2 win over Boston College in the Deacs' last regular season home game. Four seniors recorded at least one point as Sam Cronin, Jamie Franks and Marcus Tracy each scored a goal and Michael Lahoud added an assist.

Sophomore midfielder Corben Bone scored the game-winning goal against the Eagles and assisted on three other goals. Bone has 15 assists on the season, the most in a single season in Wake Forest history.

The Tar Heels enter Saturday's match with an 11-4-1 record and a 3-3-0 mark in ACC play. North Carolina is in sixth place in the conference entering this weekend's action. UNC is coming off a 2-0 non-conference loss at Campbell on Tuesday night. In their most recent ACC match, the Tar Heels dropped a 3-2 double overtime decision at Clemson.

Brian Shriver leads North Carolina with 13 goals and 28 points on the season. Shriver leads the ACC in goals and is tied for the conference lead in points with Wake's Tracy. Kirk Urso leads the Tar Heels with six assists on the year.

Jacob Wescoe has made 14 starts in goal this season for North Carolina, posting a 10-3-1 record. Wescoe has allowed 14 goals on the season and has notched three shutouts.

Wake Forest and North Carolina are meeting for the 36th time in series history. The Tar Heels lead the overall series 19-9-7, but the Demon Deacons have won three of the last four meetings, including a 1-0 overtime win in the ACC Tournament last season.

Live stats of Saturday night's game will be available on tarheelblue.com, while a full recap from the game will be posted on wakeforestsports.com.
