Field Hockey Earns Four All-America Honors

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Four Wake Forest field hockey athletes earned All-America honors as announced Monday by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Senior Michelle Kasold and junior Raisa Schiller earned spots on the first team. Aileen Davis and Minou Gimbrere earned third team honors.

The four athletes were recently selected to the South Region First Team, qualifying for All-America status.

The announcement comes on the heels of NCAA Championship match, held on Sunday in Louisville, Ky. The Demon Deacons fell to Maryland 4-2 to finish the season with a 22-4 record, tying the program record for most wins in a season.

Three members of the Demon Deacon squad were named to the NCAA All-Tournament team. Forward Hilary Moore, who scored all five of Wake Forest's goals during the tournament, earned recognition, as well as midfielder Melissa Martin and back Liza Casella.
