No. 17 Men's Tennis Hosts Saturday Doubleheader

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team will host a doubleheader this Saturday, beginning with Michigan at 1 p.m ., followed by Davidson at 5 p.m. The matches will be the Demon Deacons' last contests before the first conference match-up against NC State on March 5.
With a win last weekend over Louisville at the WFU Indoor Center, the Demon Deacons are 7-2 and 5-0 at home. Senior Mariusz Adamski leads the squad with a 7-2 singles record at No. 3, while Cory Parr and Steve Forman are the leading doubles and tandem, holding a 5-2 record at Nos. 1 and 2.
The Wolverines are 6-2 overall and 7-8 in taking the doubles point this season, including a 2-1 doubles outcome against No. 1 ranked Virginia on February 8. Three Michigan pairs are ranked in ITA's Top 50, led at No. 11 by senior Matko Maravic and sophomore George Navas.
Davidson is also 6-2 in 2008 and enters Saturday's match with a recent Southern Conference 4-3 win over The Citadel.
The Demon Deacons have been practicing outdoors this week and if the weather permits, the team will play the matches at Leighton Stadium on campus. Spectators should contact the WFU Indoor Tennis Center (336-758-5634) prior the matches to confirm the location of the contests.
Next week Wake Forest will host its first conference contest against NC State on March 5. Start time is set for 3:30 p.m.
