With the loss...- Wake Forest falls to 16-11 overall and 6-8 in the ACC.
- Head Coach Dino Gaudio moves to 16-11 at Wake Forest and 84-135 in his eighth season overall as a head coach.
- The Deacons are 2-9 on the road in 2007-08, including a 1-6 mark in ACC play.
- Wake falls to 376-408 all-time in ACC play and 538-685 all-time against current ACC members.
- The Deacons move to 34-31 all-time against the Yellow Jackets, including a 9-21 mark at Alexander Memorial Coliseum. Wake has lost four straight games at the venue.
- Wake Forest has lost to Georgia Tech twice in one season for the first time since 1997-98.
- Wake improves to 39-35 all-time against teams from the state of Georgia, including an 0-3 mark this season.
- In head-to-head matchups among all sports combined, the Deacons are 0-5 against the Yellow Jackets in 2007-08.

Miscellaneous
- Wake Forest lost the opening tip for the 23rd time this season.
- The Deacs have hit at least one three-pointer in 517 straight games (dating back to Feb. 8, 1992, at North Carolina). L.D. Williams pushed the streak to 517 with his three-pointer at the 11:00 mark of the first half.
- Georgia Tech shot 21 free throws in the first half, making 16 of the attempts. Both totals were first-half season-highs for a Wake Forest opponent.
- Trailing 56-44, Wake Forest used a 12-2 run to get back within 58-56. The Deacons scored nine straight points after trailing 58-47.
- After the game was tied 2-2, the next time the score was tied was 72-72 in the final minute. Georgia Tech led the entire stretch.
- Wake Forest had five players out of the game. The Deacons' previous high was two players on Dec. 23 vs. Virginia Tech.

Junior Harvey Hale
- Made his 12th start of the season, his first start in four games and his 46th career start.
- Scored in double figures for the 11th time this season, for the 28th time in his career and for the first time since Feb. 9 vs. Virginia.
- Fouled out of the game for the second time this season.
Freshman James Johnson
- Made his 26th start of the season.
- Picked up three fouls in the first six minutes of the game.
- Fouled out of the game for the fifth time this season.
- Led the team in assists (tied with Ishmael Smith) for the third time this season and the first time since Dec. 16 vs. Bucknell.
Sophomore Chas McFarland
- Made his 24th start of the season and his 14th straight.
- Posted his second career double-double.
- Scored a career-high 28 points, eclipsing his previous best of 17 points at FSU on Feb. 14. The point total was the most for a Demon Deacon this season.
- Scored in double figures for the ninth time this season and the fourth time in his last five games.
- Was in double figures scoring in the first half for the first time since tallying 11 points in the first period at Iowa on Nov. 26.
- Led the team in scoring for the second time this season.
- Pulled down double digit rebounds for the third time this season.
- Led the team in rebounding for the seventh time this season.
- Drew his team-leading 10th charge of the season.
- Recorded a career-high five blocked shots, besting his previous high of four on Nov. 29 at Charlotte.
- Had career-highs of 10 field goals, 14 field goal attempts and eight free throws.
- Fouled out of the game for the third time in his last four games and the sixth time overall this season.
Sophomore Jamie Skeen
- Was the Deacons' first player off the bench, entering the game for James Johnson at the 18:39 mark of the first half.
Sophomore Ishmael Smith
- Made his 27th start of the season and his 57th career start. It was his 55th straight start, the longest current streak on the team.
- Led the team in assists (tied with Johnson) for the 23rd time this season, the 49th time in his career and for the 15th straight game.
Freshman Jeff Teague
- Came off the bench for the first time in the past 19 games.
- Scored in double figures for the 18th time this season.
- Scored 20+ points for the fourth time this season.
- Fouled out of the game for the first time in his career.
- Scored 20 points today and 19 points in the previous meeting against Georgia Tech.
Sophomore L.D. Williams
- Made his 22nd start of the season and the 53rd start of his career.
- Tied his career-high with four steals (also a season-high).
