| Preview: | Wake Forest will wrap up the 2007-08 regular season against NC State on Saturday at Joel Coliseum. The noon game will be televised by Raycom Sports and will be broadcast on the Wake Forest ISP Radio Network. The Deacons will be looking to snap their four-game losing streak and build a bit of momentum heading into next week's ACC Tournament. Wake will also be out for revenge after suffering a heart-breaking 67-65 loss to NC State last month in Raleigh. The Deacs, who led most of the game, were beat on a buzzer-beating, putback dunk by Ben McCauley. Wake enters the re-match at 16-12 overall and 6-9 in the ACC following an 80-58 setback at Virginia Tech on Tuesday. The Deacs need a win on Saturday to help with ACC Tournament positioning. Wake Forest is jockeying with Florida State and Georgia Tech in the 7-9 slots. The Deacs can finish no higher than seventh and no lower than ninth in the final standings. NC State comes in at 15-14 overall and 4-11 in conference play. The Wolfpack are also looking to improve their position in the league standings, as they are currently in a three-way tie for 10th. Quickie Notes |
| Next Up: | Wake Forest will play in the 55th Annual ACC Tournament March 13-16 in Charlotte, N.C. The Deacs are locked in to the 7-9 seed range, not able to finish better or worse. Thus, Wake will either play in the #8/#9 noon game or the #7/#10 7 p.m. game. |
