Kulikova Downs Top 20 Competitor in Sunday Tennis

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Sophomore Sasha Kulikova's upset over Miami's 20th-ranked Laura Vallverdu at No. 1 singles wasn't enough to give the Wake Forest women's tennis team a winning edge on Sunday as the team fell 6-1 to the Hurricanes to end the regular season.
The Demon Deacons opened the homestand with a 6-1 loss to Florida State on Friday afternoon. Freshman Katarina Reveche had the only win of day, defeating Jessica Wente 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4.
On Sunday, Reveche teamed up with Aileen Davis to take the only Wake Forest doubles win of the weekend. The tandem took down Miami's Bianca Eichkorn/Caren Seenauth pair with an 8-4 win.
Heading into the ACC tournament, set to start Thursday in Orlando, Fla., the Demon Deacons are 8-12 overall with a 4-7 conference mark.
