Updated Summer Statistics Get Acrobat Reader

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - With almost all collegiate summer leagues now under way, many Demon Deacons have seen solid playing time for their respective squad. Below is an update on how the Deacons are faring thus far.

Cape Cod Baseball League
- Evan Ocheltree started at first base in the only game the Chatham A's have played so far this season. In the game he had one base hit in four at-bats and managed to drive in an RBI.
- Mike Murray of the Bourne Braves also started in his first game of the season, catching the entire game. Murray finished the night 0-for-3.

Northwoods League
- Ian Tomkins, a catcher for the Rochester Honkers, has started in each of the first seven games. Tomkins has had five hits in twenty at-bats, including two doubles. He has also drawn three walks and boasts an on-base percentage of .348.

New England Collegiate Baseball League
- Steven Brooks has started in four games for the Sanford Mariners this season. He has pieced together two hits in his first fourteen at-bats and has not committed any errors.
- Ryan Semeniuk has played in five games with four starts for the North Adams Steeplecats. Semeniuk has had four hits in his first sixteen at-bats and has posted an on-base percentage of .333.

Coastal Plain League
- Brad Kledzik has taken a spot in the rotation for the Gastonia Grizzlies, making three starts already this season. He has posted a 2-1 record in 21.0 innings pitched. Kledzik leads the Grizzlies in strikeouts with 20 and has held opponents to an average of .184 over 76 batters faced.

Florida Collegiate Summer League
- Ryan Bouton has been playing both ways for the Claremont Mavericks this summer. In the first three games he has started in the field in two of them and came in to pitch in relief in the third. At the plate, Bouton is hitting .222 with two hits in nine at-bats. On the mound, he has thrown three innings. Bouton has struck out one while holding opponents to a .250 batting average.

Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League
- Brandon Johnson is off to a strong start for the Kernersville Bulldogs. In 6.0 innings of work over four relief appearances, he has yet to allow an earned run and is leading the team in opponent's batting average at .111. Johnson has only allowed two hits and one walk on the season.
- Ryan Lloyd is hitting .292 in 13 games for the Kernersville Bulldogs. Lloyd has seven hits in 24 at-bats, has driven in fours RBIs and has an on-base percentage of .393 for the Bulldogs. Lloyd had the game-winning hit in the 10th inning on Sunday, June 15.

Valley Baseball League
- Alex Wiesner has had 4 2/3 innings of work over three games, including one start, for the Luray Wranglers. Wiesner has an ERA of 3.86 and has held opponents to a .278 batting average. He has also allowed five hits and struck out one.

Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League
- Ryan Burke has thrown three innings for the Alexandria Aces, allowing eight hits and two earned runs.
