
Wake Forest Summer League Update

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - After two weeks of collegiate summer league play, many Demon Deacons are finding success on the diamond. Here is a look at how the Deacons are faring with their respective summer league teams.
Cape Cod Baseball League
- Evan Ocheltree, playing with the Chatham A's, has started in seven games this season and is hitting .111 over eighteen at-bats.
- Dustin Hood has made six starts in as many games for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox so far this summer. Over these six games he is hitting .400 in ten at-bats and has an on-base percentage of .450.
Coastal Plain League
- Brad Kledzik has continued starting for the Gastonia Grizzlies, making four starts so far this summer. He has posted a 2-1 record in 26.2 innings pitched. He is the team leader in strikeouts with 28 and has held opponents to an average of .190 in 100 batters faced. His ERA is currently a respectable 3.04.
New England Collegiate Baseball League
- Steven Brooks has seen action in nine games for the Sanford Mainers, making starts in eight of them. He is currently hitting .226 with two homers, eight RBIs and four steals.
- Ryan Semeniuk has played in nine games with seven starts for the North Adams Steeplecats. He is currently hitting .143 with two RBIs and a stolen base on the year.
- Ryan McGrath has thrown relief innings in five games so far this summer for the Manchester Silkworms. Over those games he has logged 6.0 innings pitched and recorded an ERA of 3.00.
Valley Baseball League
- Alex Wiesner has had 9.0 innings of work over six games, including one start for the Luray Wranglers. He has held his opponents to a .194 batting average with an ERA of 3.00. He has also allowed six hits while striking out 12.
Northwoods League
- Ian Tomkins, a catcher for the Rochester Honkers, has started in thirteen games so far this summer. He is hitting .188 in 32 at-bats.
Florida Collegiate Summer League
- Ryan Bouton has been quite the utility man for the Claremont Mavericks so far this summer. After playing in four games he has made three starts and is hitting .231. He has also thrown 5.2 innings in relief and has a 3.18 ERA with four strikeouts.
Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League
- Brandon Johnson is off to a strong start for the Kernersville Bulldogs. After 10.0 innings of work he has allowed two earned runs to post a terrific 1.80 ERA. He has also held his opponents to a .125 batting average.
- Ryan Lloyd is also playing for the Kernersville Bulldogs this summer. So far he has started all eighteen games and is currently hitting .294 in 34 at-bats.
Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League
- Ryan Burke has thrown three innings for the Alexandria Aces, allowing eight hits and two earned runs.
