Wake Forest Summer Leagues Update - July 11

Winston-Salem, N.C. - After four weeks of collegiate summer league play, many Demon Deacons are earning starts with their summer teams. Here is a recap of the Deacon's stats from their respective summer league teams.

Cape Cod Collegiate Baseball League

- Evan Ocheltree has started in nine games this season and is hitting .241 in 58 at-bats. He also has five RBI on the season and has scored three times.

Northwoods Baseball League

- Ian Tomkins, a catcher for the Rochester Honkers, has started in 19 games so far this summer and is hitting .156 in 45 plate appearances. Tomkins has also driven in two runs and scored three times.

New England Summer Baseball League

- Steve Brooks has seen action in 24 games, including 22 starts. He is currently hitting .228 with five RBI and nine runs scored.

- Ryan Semeniuk has played in 21 games, starting 15 of them for the North Adams Steeplecats. Semeniuk is hitting .194 with six RBI and two stolen bases. He has also added three doubles.

- Ryan McGrath has made seven relief appearances so far this summer for the Manchester Silkworms. Over those games he has logged 15.0 innings pitched and recorded an ERA of 4.80 along with eight strikeouts.

- Mike Murray is now playing with fellow teammate Steve Brooks for the Sanford Mainers. Since joining the team he is hitting .400 through four games with two RBI and three runs scored.

Coastal Plains League

- Brad Kledzik has made five starts for the Gastonia Grizzlies this summer. He has posted a 2-2 record with a 4.11 ERA in 30.2 innings pitched. Kledzik ranks second on the team with 32 strikeouts and opponents are hitting .225 off against him.

- Eli Robins is currently pitching for the Asheboro Copperheads, making two appearances, including one start. Robins has an ERA of 6.75 and has five strikeouts through 6.2 innings pitched.

Florida Collegiate Baseball League

- Ryan Bouton has been quite the utility man for the Claremont Mavericks so far this summer. After playing in five games he has made four starts and is hitting .176. He has also thrown 7.2 innings in relief and has a 2.35 ERA with five strikeouts.

Carolina/ Virginia Collegiate Baseball League

- Brandon Johnson has continued to throw well for the Kernersville Bulldogs this summer. He currently has an ERA of 1.59 with five strikeouts. He has also held his opponents to a .184 batting average through their first 38 at-bats.

- Ryan Lloyd is also playing for the Kernersville Bulldogs this summer. He has started all 29 games and is currently hitting .286 in 56 at-bats. He also has 10 RBI and has scored eight runs.

Cal Ripken Sr. Summer Baseball League

- Ryan Burke has thrown 13.2 innings for the Alexandria Aces, and currently has an ERA of 5.93 and has fanned five batters.

Valley Baseball League

- Alex Weisner has made eight appearances for the Luray Wranglers, including two starts. Weisner has an ERA of 2.25 and has struck out 17 in his 16 innings of work. Opponents are hitting .222 off of Weisner.

Great Lakes Summer Baseball League

- Joel Ernst is currently playing for the Cincinnati Steam of the Great Lakes League and has an ERA of 1.80 in 15 innings pitched.
