Wake Forest Summer Leagues Update

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Entering the second month of collegiate summer league play, here is a look at how the Demon Deacons are faring with their respective teams.
Cape Cod Baseball League
- Evan Ocheltree, playing with the Chatham A's, has started nine games this season and is hitting .167 with five RBIs and a pair of runs.
Coastal Plain League
- Brad Kledzik has a record of 2-2 thus far for the Gastonia Grizzlies. He has an ERA of 4.11 in 30.2 innings pitched. Kledzik is currently second on the team in strikeouts with 32 and has held his opponents batting average to .225 in 120 batters faced.
New England Collegiate Baseball League
-Steven Brooks has seen action in nine games for the Sanford Mainers, making starts in eight of them. He is currently hitting .226 with three RBIs and six runs scored.
- Ryan Semeniuk has played in 14 games, with 11 starts, for the North Adams Steeplecats. He is currently hitting .163 with six RBIs and two stolen bases on the season.
- Ryan McGrath has pitched out of the Manchester Silkworms' bullpen in seven games this summer. He has posted an ERA of 2.38 in 11.1 innings pitched.
Valley Baseball League
- Alex Wiesner has pitched in eight games for the Luray Wranglers this summer. In 14.0 innings of work, the lefty has held opponents to a .220 batting average. He has an ERA of 2.57 and has struck out 15 batters.
Northwoods League
- Ian Tomkins, a catcher for the Rochester Honkers, has started in 15 games so far this summer. He is hitting .171 with two RBIs and a pair of runs scored.
Florida Collegiate Summer League
- Ryan Bouton has played the role of utility man for the Claremont Mavericks this summer. On the mound, he has pitched in six games in relief, posting a 2.35 ERA with five strikeouts in 7.2 innings. At the plate, Bouton is hitting .176 with three RBIs in 17 at-bats.
Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League
- Brandon Johnson has continued to throw well for the Kernersville Bulldogs this summer. He currently has an ERA of 1.80 with five strikeouts. He has held his opponents to a .125 batting average.
- Outfielder Ryan Lloyd has started all 24 games for the Kernersville and is currently hitting .250 with nine RBIs and six runs scored.
Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League
- Ryan Burke has pitched in four games, all out of the bullpen, for the Alexandria Aces. The lefty is 0-1 with a 4.66 ERA in 9.2 innings pitched.
