With the Wake Forest Win...
- The Deacons won their 400th career game. Wake's all-time record is 400-581-33.
- Wake Forest starts the season 2-0 for the fourth time in Jim Grobe's eight years
- Wake Forest has a five-game winning streak dating back to last year.
- Wake Forest has beaten an SEC opponent at BB&T Field for just the second time in school history. Wake defeated No. 13 Auburn 42-38 on Oct. 17, 1979.
- The Deacons improve to 6-2 in home openers under Jim Grobe.
- Grobe's record improves to 48-39 at Wake Forest and 81-72-1 overall.
- Wake Forest improves to 2-0 all-time against Ole Miss.
- Jim Grobe improves to 13-4 in non-conference home games

Boldin Leads Receiving Corps
- Senior wide receiver D.J. Boldin has his best career performance to date. Boldin caught a career-high 11 passes for 123 yards.
- Boldin had just 11 catches for 127 yards in all of 2007.
Defense Forces Three Turnovers
- The Wake Forest defense forced three turnovers on the day, including two interceptions and one fumble recovery.
- The Deacons scored 10 points off those three turnovers.
- Kevin Patterson had his fourth interception of his career, while Brandon Ghee had his first career pick.
- Chip Vaughn had a fumble recovery when Ole Miss muffed Wake's first punt. The recovery set up the Deacons' first touchdown of the game.
Kevin Harris Hits Paydirt
- Fullback Kevin Harris scored his first touchdown since the 2007 season opener at Boston College
- Harris was on the receiving end of a 14-yard Riley Skinner scoring strike in the first quarter. The score gave Wake an early 7-0 lead after Ole Miss fumbled a punt.
Skinner Sets Multiple Career Highs
- Riley Skinner went over the 4,500 yard mark in career passing yards. Skinner came in to the game with 4,475 career passing yards and threw for 253 yards today to give him 4,832 yards on his three-year career. Skinner is now sixth in career passing yardage in Wake Forest history.
- Skinner also had single-game career highs in attempts (43) and completions (32). His previous highs were 27 completions and 38 attempts, both of which came again UConn in the 2007 Meineke Car Care Bowl.
Sam Swank Hits Game-Winner
- Sam Swank hit the game-winning 41-yard field goal with three seconds remaining in the game. It was Swank's first-ever game-winning field goal in the final seconds.
- Swank hit on all three field goal attempts on the day, matching his career-high for the 10th time. Swank is a perfect 5-for-5 on field goals this season and has made each of his last nine attempts dating back to last season.
- The performance was his 19th multi-field goal game.
- Swank has kicked at least one field goal in each of his last 12 games and 36 of his 40 career contests.
- Swank has hit 114 straight PATs.
- Swank has scored a school-record 310 points in his career. He is 83 points shy of the ACC record of 393 set by Maryland's Nick Novak from 2001-04.
Brandon Pendergrass Scores Again
- Redshirt freshman Brandon Pendergrass had a season-best 49 rushing yards. Pendergrass rushed eight times and had a long of 20 yards.
- Pendergrass also scored for the second straight game. He ran the ball in from 12 yards out to give Wake a 27-21 advantage with 11:37 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Wake Forest 7, Ole Miss 0
- Kevin Harris caught a 14-yard pass from Riley Skinner.
- It was Riley Skinner's 25th career touchdown pass.
- It marked the first touchdown of the year for Kevin Harris and his first score since catching a touchdown pass in last year's season opener at Boston College.
- Sam Swank converted his 112th consecutive PAT and raised his career point total to 298 points.
- Key play was a fumbled punt return by Ole Miss. It marked the fourth touchdown this season for Wake Forest off of a turnover.

- Jevan Snead 4 pass to Gerald Harris with 4:12 to play in the first quarter.
Ole Miss 14, Wake Forest 7
- Sneed 28 yard pass to Shay Hodge with 11:45 to play in the second quarter.
- Wake Forest fell behind for the first time this season.
Ole Miss 14, Wake Forest 10
- Sam Swank converted his 63rd career field goal.
- Swank is 3 of 3 on field goals this season and 63 of 79 on the season.
- It was Swank's seventh straight successful field goal attempt.

- Sam Swank kicked a 27-yard field goal with 6:18 to play in the third quarter.
- It was Swank's second field goal of the game and marks the 19th multiple field goal game of his career.
- It was Swank's eighth straight successful field goal attempt.

- Riley Skinner hit Marshall Williams on a 24-yard scoring pass with 1:35 to play in the third quarter.
- Sam Swank converted his 113th consecutive career PAT.
- It was the first career TD catch for Marshall Williams.
- It marks Skinner's sixth multiple-touchdown pass game.
- It was career TD pass 26 for Skinner, tying him for seventh in school history.
Ole Miss 21, Wake Forest 20
- Wake Forest regained the lead with a 31-yard pass from Jevan Sneed to Dexter McCluster with 14:11 to play in the game.
- It was Sneed's second TD pass of the game.
Wake Forest 27, Ole Miss 21
- Brandon Pendergrass gave the Deacons a 27-21 lead with a 12-yard run with 11:37 to play in the game.
- It marked the fourth lead change of the game.
- Swank's PAT was his 114th consecutive.
- Pendergrass has now scored a rushing touchdown in each of his first two games.
Ole Miss 28, Wake Forest 27
- Cordera Eason's 5 yard TD pass from Jevan Snead gave the Rebels a 28-27 lead with 1:01 to play in the game.
- It marked the fifth lead change of the game.
- It is the first time Wake has allowed 3 TD passes in a game since Clemson had 3 on Nov. 10, 2007
Wake Forest 30, Ole Miss 28
- Sam Swank booted a 41-yard field goal with :03 to play to give Wake Forest a 30-28 win over Ole Miss
- It was Swank's third field goal of the game.
- The three field goals tied Swank's career high for field goals in a game.
- It was Swank's 10th three-field goal game.
- Swank is now five for five on the season.
- He has converted nine straight field goal attempts dating back to 2007.
- His last miss was a possible game-winner at Virginia on Nov. 3, 2007.
