- Wake Forest improves to 15-0 overall and 2-0 in Atlantic Coast Conference play, while Boston College drops to 13-5 overall and 1-2 in league play.

- Wake Forest defeated Boston College for the first-time in eight all-time meetings.
- Tonight's win marked the 100th win of head coach Dino Gaudio's career. He is 32-13 as the head coach of the Demon Deacons and his career record stands at 100-137.
- Tonight's sellout crowd at Conte Forum was the third-straight capacity crowd that the Deacons have played in front of (including the BYU and North Carolina games). Saturday's game at Clemson is a reported sellout as well.

Boston College could not get closer than an eight-point deficit (28-20) the rest of the half.
- Key Stat: The Demon Deacons shot 65.5 percent in the first half, making 19 of 29 attempts, to race out to a 47-27 halftime lead. Conversely, Wake held BC to a 33.3 percent (10-for-30) mark from the floor.
- Wake Forest shot 55.4 percent from the floor in the game. It was the Deacons' 10th game shooting 50 percent or better this season, doubling their total from a season ago.
- The Deacons have scored 80+ points in six straight games and 10 of their last 11. Wake has eclipsed the 80-point barrier a total of 12 times this season.
- Wake Forest has now made a three pointer in 535 consecutive games.
- Sophomore guard Jeff Teague led the Deacs with 29 points on the night, marking the 19th-straight game he has finished in double figures. It was his eighth 20+ point performance of the season and the 14th of his career.
- Freshman forward Al-Farouq Aminu scored 15 points to finish in double figures for the 11th time this season and the fifth time in his last six games.
