Final Stats

The Wake Forest women's tennis team improved to 3-0 for the season with a 6-1 over Richmond on Friday afternoon. The Spiders are now 0-1 for 2009.

The Demon Deacons took the doubles point 2-1. Sasha Kulikova/Sierra Poske and Emilee Malvehy/Aileen Davis each posted 8-2 wins at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.

Sierra Poske was the first to finish in singles, defeating Erin Clark 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2. Anna Mydlowska had the only dropped match of the night, falling 6-3, 6-1 to Ashley Vosters at No.6. Sasha Kulikova, Katarina Reveche and Ryann Cutillo added wins in straight sets. Richmond's Kelly Tidwell took Emilee Malvehy to a tiebreaker set at No. 3, but Malvehy took the victory with a 5-2 score in the final set.

Wake Forest will return to action on Sunday to host Dartmouth at 12 p.m.
