Jones was one of five different Demon Deacons to record double-digit digs on the afternoon. Sophomore Cambrey Oehler came off the bench to record 15 digs and senior Abby Miller added 10. Miller is now just 21 digs shy of 1,000 for her career.
Offensively, freshman Andrea Beck and sophomore Carlin Salmon each recorded 10 kills while Kadija Fornah and White each chipped in with nine. Beck and Salmon also finished the afternoon with four blocks apiece.
As a team, the Deacons finished with 89 digs on the day which is the second-most all season and the most for any four-set match this year. In addition to out digging the Tar Heels (89-74), Wake also held the blocking advantage at the net 10-9.

The Demon Deacons got two kills from both Beck and Fornah to open-up an early 7-3 lead in the first set. After a 4-0 run by the Heels tied the score at 7-7, the Deacs again went on another 7-3 run to take a 14-10 advantage. But this time, Carolina went respond with a 5-0 run to take a 15-14 lead and would eventually take an 18-15 lead.
The Deacons would cut the lead to one at 19-18 but UNC finished the set on a 6-3 run to take a 25-21 victory. Fuller had six kills in the first set for UNC while White posted five kills and seven digs to lead the Deacs.
With the score tied at 3-3 in the second, Carolina got a kill from Hanson-Tuntland that sparked an 8-2 run to give the hosts an 11-5 advantage. A couple of UNC blocks and a pair of Wake Forest errors would allow the Tar Heels to build a seven-point lead at 14-7.
UNC held that seven-point advantage until a kill by Beck and two Carolina errors allowed Wake to creep to within four at 18-14 but the Heels would then go on a 5-0 run of their own to take a commanding 24-14 lead thanks to a couple of kills and a pair of service aces from Kaylie Gibson. After a block from McIntyre and Beck made the score 24-16, Heather Brooks finished off the set with her fourth kill of the match.
Tuntland had four kills in the set for Carolina while Wake had just seven kills and nine errors in the second set.
The teams traded 2-0 runs throughout most of the early part of the third set until a 6-1 run by the Deacs gave them a 17-14 lead. Salmon and Jones each had a kill and teamed-up for a block during the spurt. Carolina would respond with a 5-2 run of its own to tie the score at 19-19.
That's when a kill and a block by Beck along with a service ace from Oehler gave the Deacons a 23-19 lead and two kills by McIntyre then finished-off the set 25-21. Beck put away four kills on six attempts in the set while Thornberry collected eight digs.
Carolina then came out in the fourth-set on a 7-3 run but back-to-back kills from White sent Wake on an 8-2 run that gave the Deacs an 11-9 advantage. Wake extended the lead to 15-12 but a kill from Hanson-Tuntland and back-to-back kills from Brooks evened the score at 15-15.
