Field Hockey Hosts BC in Regular Season Finale

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The sixth-ranked Wake Forest field hockey team will wrap up the 2009 regular season this Saturday, October 31, when it hosts ninth-ranked Boston College at 1 p.m.

Prior to the match, Wake Forest's five seniors will be honored as part of the annual Senior Day festivities.

Wake Forest is 10-5 this season with a 1-3 record in the Atlantic Coast Conference. All of the Demon Deacons' five losses have come within the conference, including two losses to North Carolina and two against Virginia.

Boston College is 13-4 and 1-3 in the ACC. The Eagles had a big win earlier this week, topping fifth-ranked Syracuse 1-0. Senior Chelsea Feole leads the Eagles in scoring with 23 goals in 2009.

Next week the Deacons will begin preparation for the ACC Tournament, held in Charlottesville, Va. The first group of pairings will face off on Thursday, November 5. The semifinals will be held on Friday, November 6 and the Championship will take place on Sunday.
