
Wake Forest Downs Wofford, 85-55

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Freshman Lakevia Boykin added 14 points and sophomore Secily Ray posted 11 rebounds en route to Wake Forest's 85-55 victory over Wofford on a snowy Saturday afternoon.
Wake Forest improves to 8-3 with the win and Wofford stalls at 1-9.
Wake Forest shot 40 percent from the floor, a significant improvement from the team's season-low 29 percent performance on Thursday at South Carolina. Wake Forest's leading scorer Boykin was 5-for-10 off the bench and 4-for-4 from the free throw line.
Wofford's Natalie Gramblin had the game-high 18 points and Daniella Motley led the Terriers in rebounding with six.
Two other players scored in double-digits off the bench for the Deacons. Patrice Johnson had a career-high 10 points and Asia Williams added 10 points and five rebounds.
Wake Forest held a 12 point lead at the half but kicked off the final 20 minutes with a 17-4 run to go up 63-35.
At 8:22 Lakevia Boykin added a layup to give Wake Forest its largest lead of the game, a 36 point margin, with a 76-40.
Wake Forest will have a few days break before heading to San Diego for the San Diego State Surf `n' Sun Tournament on December 28.
