Team Records and Series Notes:
- Wake Forest falls to 17-3 overall and 4-3 in Atlantic Coast Conference play, while Miami improves to 15-7 and 4-5 in conference play.
- The Demon Deacons still lead the overall series against the Hurricanes 7-2. Both wins for Miami in the series have come at the BankUnited Center.
- Wake Forest has dropped consecutive games for the first time this season.
- The Demon Deacons wore their gold uniforms for just the second time this season. The Deacs are 1-1 this season when wearing the gold threads.
- Wake Forest returns to action on Sunday as it plays host to the Boston College Eagles. The two teams played last month with the Deacons claiming an 83-63 victory. Tip time at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum is set for 4 p.m. (ET) and the game will be carried live on Fox Sports Net (television) and the Wake Forest ISP Radio Network.
Wake Forest Team Notes:
- Key Run: Leading 29-26 at the half, Miami went on a 25-8 run over the first 9:17 of the second half to take a 54-34 lead.
- Key Stat: Miami finished the game shooting 49.1 percent (26-of-53) while Wake Forest was held to a season-low 31.7 percent (19-of-60) from the floor.
- The Deacs shot a season-low 15 percent (3-of-20) from beyond the arc, while Miami made 45. 8 percent (11-of-24) of its shots from the three-point line.
- Wake Forest used the starting lineup of Jeff Teague, L.D. Williams, Al-Farouq Aminu, James Johnson and David Weaver in tonight's game. It marked the first time this season that Wake has changed its starting five.
- The 52 points scored by the Demon Deacons marked a season low.
- Wake Forest has now made at least one three-point field goal in 540 consecutive games.
Wake Forest Individual Notes:
- Sophomore guard Jeff Teague led Wake Forest with 19 points. Teague also tied a career high with two blocks and added three steals.
- Sophomore forward James Johnson scored 11 points and led the team in rebounding with seven boards. Johnson also added two blocks in 30 minutes of play.
- Junior forward David Weaver made his third career start in tonight's game. Weaver last received a starting nod last season against Presbyterian. He made his first career start against Virginia Tech during his freshman season. Weaver finished the game with three rebounds, a block and a steal in 13 minutes.
