WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team will look to build on back-to-back conference wins as they travel to Clemson to face the Tigers at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 8. The game will be televised on Fox Sports South and feature commentators Mike Hogewood and Debbie Antonelli.
Wake Forest (16-5, 3-4) will be going for its fourth conference win. The Demon Deacons haven't hit the four-win mark in the ACC since the 2003-04 season when they finished 4-14 in league action and 12-17 overall under the direction of Charlene Curtis.
Clemson is 13-11 and 2-7 in the ACC. One of the Tigers' two conference wins is over Wake Forest. On January 18 Wake Forest held a two-possession lead over Clemson at halftime and clung to a single-digit lead through most of the second half. But with 1:47 to play in regulation the Tigers took the advantage and finished with a 64-60 win in Winston-Salem.
The Tigers last played at Western Carolina on February 3, taking a 73-64 win to snap a four-game losing streak.
Wake Forest will next travel to NC State on February 12 and return to the Joel Coliseum to host Virginia Tech on Sunday, February 15 for its annual Pink Zone game.
