WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Representatives of all 32 NFL teams were on hand at Wake Forest University on Monday as nearly two dozen former football players at Wake Forest and other local universities went through Pro Day.

The players underwent the same type of testing that was conducted at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis last month. Agility drills, bench press and the 40-yard dash were among the benchmarks observed by the 41 pro scouts and personnel directors in attendance at the Doc Martin Practice Complex.

With lots of local media on hand along with a film crew from the NFL Network and representatives of ESPN, the Wake Forest contingent was led by potential first round draft choices Aaron Curry and Alphonso Smith. Curry, labeled by some draft pundits as the top available player in the draft, was outstanding at last month's combine. He did not participate in the individual tests but rather was put through a series of drills by the scouts that highlighted his overall ability at linebacker.

The five Wake Forest players that attended the combine in Indianapolis were at Pro Day on Monday were, along with Smith and Curry, linebacker Stanley Arnoux, safety Chip Vaughn and placekicker Sam Swank.

Curry and Arnoux were the two fastest linebackers at the Combine last month.

Also in attendance for Wake Forest were wide receiver D.J. Boldin, defensive ends Anthony Davis and Antonio Wilson, defensive backs Kerry Major and Kevin Patterson, and linebacker Chantz McClinic.

Nine players from other North Carolina universities were invited to attend the Pro Day. They included offensive linemen Joe Blanks and Michael Helton of Winston-Salem State along with DeMarrio Deese of Gardner-Webb, defensive backs David Irizarry of WSSU and Michael Pace of North Carolina A&T, defensive linemen Jeff Bradley of Western Carolina and Chris Dowdell of Mars Hill, wide receiver Dobson Collins from Gardner-Webb and kicker Brandon Gilbert of North Carolina Central.

The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25-26 in New York City.
