
Woodall Named to All-ACC Academic Baseball Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Former Wake Forest baseball player Weldon Woodall has been named to the All-ACC Academic Baseball Team, as announced on Thursday by the league office.
The Highland Park, Texas, native graduated in May with a degree in political science, with a minor in entrepreneurship and social enterprise. Woodall made the Dean's List four times during his academic career and also was named to the ACC Honor Roll.
Woodall led Wake Forest in several offensive categories during the 2009 season. Woodall finished the year with a team-best .328 batting average along with nine home runs and 39 RBIs. He also led the Deacs in hits (61), doubles (15), total bases (103) and on-base percentage (.430).
Woodall finished his four-year career with a .284 batting average, 13 home runs and 80 RBIs in 132 games played, including 96 starts. He had a .450 career slugging percentage and a .378 career on-base percentage.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned at least a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained at least a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
