Wake Forest Baseball Volunteers with Habitat for Humanity

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest baseball team traded their bats and gloves for hammers and saws last Saturday as the team volunteered its time helping to build a house for Habitat for Humanity.

The project was part of the Labor of Love Blitz, which is helping to transform five homes on Cherry Street. A total of 15-20 baseball players spent their Saturday morning working on one of their homes.

The baseball squad is one of several Wake Forest teams that will volunteer time with Habitat for the Humanity in the fall. The track and men's golf teams will also help to build a home with Habitat for Humanity later in the fall.
