Team Records and Series Notes:

Wake Forest improves to 14-4 overall and 4-2 in Atlantic Coast Conference play, while Virginia drops to 12-5 and 3-1 in league play.
The Demon Deacons now lead the overall series 67-59 and have won four straight against the Cavaliers. Wake Forest holds a 15-3 edge in games played at the Joel Coliseum.
Wake Forest is now 194-109 all-time against teams from the state of Virginia.
Wake Forest continues ACC play on Thursday, traveling to Atlanta to face No. 18/19 Georgia Tech. Tip off is set for 7 p.m. (ET) and the game will be available on the ACC's regional sports network (TV) and the Wake Forest ISP Radio Network.

Wake Forest Team Notes:

Key Run: Leading 18-14 with 6:48 left in the first half, Wake Forest closed the stanza on a 16-1 run to take a 34-15 advantage into the locker room. C.J. Harris capped the run with a long three-pointer as time expired in the first half.
Key Stat: Wake Forest finished the game shooting 52.3 percent (23-of-44) and held Virginia to just 33.8 percent (22-of-65).
The 15 points scored by Virginia in the first half are the fewest points the Demon Deacons have allowed in a half this season. This was the least amount of points allowed in a half by Wake Forest since it held Winston-Salem State to 14 in the first half on Nov. 24, 2008. It also marks the fewest points an ACC opponent has scored in a half against Wake Forest since the Deacs held Clemson to nine points in the first half on Feb. 21, 2001.
The Demon Deacons controlled the rebounding category, holding a 42-29 advantage on the boards. Wake Forest is now 10-1 on the season when out-rebounding their opponent.
Wake Forest led by as many as 24 points after Chas McFarland hit a jumper with 8:08 remaining in the game to make the score 55-31.
Wake Forest has now made a three-point basket in 569 consecutive games. The Demon Deacons finished the game 3-for-10 from behind the arc.

Wake Forest Individual Notes:

Leading the Deacons with 21 points and six assists, Ishmael Smith shot 7-of-10 from the floor and added seven rebounds.
McFarland finished with 16 points, just one shy of his season-high 17 points against Duke on Jan. 17,
Al-Farouq Aminu notched his 13th double-double of the season and 23rd of his career after scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 boards in today's contest.
