The Wake Forest women's basketball team started its preseason last week. The Deacs are preparing for their opener on Nov. 14 against NC Central. WakeForestSports.com has done a Q and A with the four newcomers to the program and today, the focus is on Lindsy Wright, a center from Denver, NC.
The nickname everyone calls me is.... Lindss
I chose the number 31 because.... because it has been my number since I was a little kid.
My goals over the next four years are.... to win an ACC championship, compete in the NCAA tournament, graduate with a degree in sociology, and make great memories.
I chose Wake Forest because.... I love the small campus, great basketball program as well as the great academic program.
The thing that impressed me the most about Coach Petersen and his staff was.... How great they were throughout the whole recruiting process and, how much they care about their players.
My favorite basketball moment was..... Hitting the game winning shot my sophomore year in a conference championship game.
My pregame superstitions or routines are..... my lucky penny in my sock and listening to music.
My favorite music artists are..... Dave Mathew's band
Something most people don't know about me is..... I'm really superstitious.
Best advice from Mom or Dad..... Always strive for the best academically, athletically and as a person.
Describe your style of play in one word..... Exciting
Nobody can believe I watch(ed)..... Saved by the bell every morning before school
Favorite athlete to watch in another sport..... Landon Donovan USA soccer/La Galaxy
The hardest thing I've ever had to do was.... Leave family and friends at home.
My worst habit is.... Getting up in the mornings
The one thing I can't image living without is.... Sports and my family.
The best advice I ever received was.... Never settle for just mediocre be your best.
The top-3 things on my bucket list are.... Travel around the world, living in a different country and watching a world cup live!
