Pavelec Reaches ITA Carolina Regional Quarterfinals

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Wake Forest women's tennis player Martina Pavelec won two matches Saturday to advance to the quarterfinals of the ITA Carolina Regional in Chapel Hill, N.C.
No. 34 Pavelec defeated Winthrop's Sandra Herrera 6-4, 6-1 before topping Clemson's Klara Vsykocialova 6-2, 6-2. She will take on top-seeded No. 13 Josipa Bek of Clemson tomorrow for a spot in the semifinals.
The Wake Forest doubles team of Ryann Cutillo and Kayla Duncan's run ended in the quarterfinals, as they fell to No. 19 Nadine Fahoum and Ellah Nze of Duke.
