CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Wake Forest's Martina Pavelec bowed out to top-seeded Josipa Bek of Clemson in the quarterfinals of the ITA Carolina Regional in Chapel Hill, N.C. on Sunday.
No. 34 Pavelec took No. 13 Bek down to the wire in the first set but eventually fell 7-6 (2), 6-1 to the ACC's top-ranked player.
The Demon Deacons will have a week off before hosting the Wake Forest Fall Invitational Nov. 5-7, which will feature NC State, Tennessee, LSU and Furman.
