RS Freshman Daniel Mack
- RS freshman Daniel Mack intercepted a pass for the second straight Wake Forest home game and now has two for his career. The ball was initially tipped by RS sophomore Joey Ehrmann.
- Mack recorded a career-high eight tackles, breaking his previous high of six tackles against Georgia Tech earlier this season on Oct. 2.
RS Senior Marshall Williams
- RS senior Marshall Williams had four receptions on the day and now has 108 for his career, putting him in a tie for 16th place all-time in Wake Forest history.
- With his 48 receiving yards on the day, Williams goes over the 1,500-yard mark with 1,517 for his career.
First-Career Sacks
- Freshman A.J. Marshall recorded his first-career sack on a corner blitz to force Clemson into a 4th-and-16 with 2:33 remaining in the first half.
- RS freshman Zach Thompson contributed his first-career sack with 1:08 remaining in the first half, joining with RS sophomore Kevin Smith to bring down Clemson QB Kyle Parker.
Defensive Highs
- RS freshman Mike Olson tied a career-high with seven tackles, while RS sophomore Kevin Smith set a new career-high with seven tackles. Smith also had 1.5 tackles for loss and half a sack.
Sophomore Jimmy Newman
- Sophomore Jimmy Newman connected on a 45-yard field goal with 8:38 remaining in the fourth quarter. He has now made 10 consecutive field goal attempts, which is tied for second all-time at Wake Forest. He is just one more away from tying Sam Swank's record of 11 consecutive made field goals.
- Newman made his 61st consecutive PAT after a one-yard TD run by RS freshman Josh Harris in the fourth quarter. He now sits alone in second place behind Sam Swank who made 121 consecutive PATs.
With the loss
- Wake Forest falls to 2-9 overall and 1-7 in the ACC
- Jim Grobe's record stands at 61-60 at Wake Forest and 94-93-1 overall
- Wake Forest has lost nine consecutive games for the first time since losing the last 10 games of the 1978 season.
- Wake Forest has lost four straight home games.
Miscellaneous Notes
- Wake Forest won the coin toss and elected to defer to the second half. Clemson received the ball and defended the North goal. This marks the first time that Wake Forest has won the toss since Sept. 18 at Stanford.
- Wake Forest honored its 13 seniors prior to kickoff.
- The official attendance for the game was 31,783.
- RS senior Marshall Williams had his first career incomplete pass on Wake Forest's first play from scrimmage. He was 5-for-5 entering the game.
- RS junior Cameron Ford had a season-long 34-yard reception from freshman Tanner Price to set up RS freshman Josh Harris' one-yard touchdown run with just over six minutes left in the fourth quarter.
