Scott Hoch, playing in his first event of the 2010 season, fired a final round 69 and finish third at the Champions Tour ACE Group Classic in Naples, Fla., this past weekend.

Hoch led a group of five former Deacons as Jay Haas closed with a pair of 70s to finish tied for 21st and Jay Sigel took 67th with a closing round 74. Curtis Strange finished a shot further back at tied for 71st while Lanny Wadkins rounded out the group in a tie for 77th.

At the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, Webb Simpson made it four-for-four in cuts made this season as he finished tied for 46th at 5-under par. He opened with rounds of 67-68 and made the cut tied for 14th at 7-under.

The PGA Tour will host two events this week with the World Golf Championship - Accenture Match Play and the Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancun. Simpson and Bill Haas are both taking the week off but Len Mattiace will get his 2010 season started this week in Cancun.

The Champions Tour is also back in action this week at the Allianz Championship in Boca Raton, Fla. Haas, Hoch, Strange and Wadkins will also be joined by Gary Hallberg this week.

The EGolf Tour will get its season underway this week at the Palmetto Hall Championship. Former Deacons Cortland Lowe, Doug Manchester, Chris McCartin, and Chad Wilfong are all in the field.

The LPGA Tour season is officially starting this week with the Honda PTT LPGA Thailand in Chonburi, Thailand. Laura Diaz gave birth to a healthy baby girl last month and will be returning to action later this year. Nannette Hill will likely not make her LPGA debut until the tour returns to the states at the end of March.
