WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Former Demon Deacon Ike Opara scored a goal for the second straight week to lead his team to a victory. Here's a look at how other Deacs in the MLS fared.
Defender Lyle Adams was available as a substitute but did not play in DC United's 2-0 loss to Chicago.
Midfielder Corben Bone was available as a substitute but did not play in Chicago's 2-0 win over DC United.
Midfielder Brian Carroll and the Columbus Crew did not have a game this past week. The Crew is back in action on Saturday, April 24 against Real Salt Lake.
Midfielder Sam Cronin started and played the entire 90 minutes in Toronto FC's 3-1 loss to Colorado on Sunday. Cronin has started two games on the season for Toronto.
Midfielder Austin da Luz did not play in New York's 2-1 win over FC Dallas.
Goalkeeper Will Hesmer and the Columbus Crew did not have a game this past week. The Crew is back in action on Saturday, April 24 against Real Salt Lake.
Midfielder Michael Lahoud was available as a substitute but did not play in Chivas USA's 3-0 loss at Houston. Lahoud has played in two games this season, including one start.
Defender Ike Opara scored a goal for the second straight week to lead San Jose to a 2-0 win over New England. Opara, who has started three games this year, now has two goals on the season and has attempted four shots.
Defender Pat Phelan started and played the entire 90 minutes in New England's 2-0 loss at San Jose. Phelan has played in all four games this season, including three starting appearances.
Defender James Riley started and played the full 90 minutes in Seattle's 1-0 win over Kansas City. Riley has started three games for the Sounders in 2010.
Forward Zack Schilawski started and played 84 minutes in New England's 2-0 loss at San Jose. Schilawski has started all four games this season for the Revolution and has scored three goals.
Midfielder Wells Thompson entered as a substitute in the 59th minute in Colorado's 3-1 win against Toronto FC. Thompson has played in four games this season for the Rapids, attempting two shots.
