WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Former Demon Deacon Corben Bone made his professional debut for Chicago on Saturday. Here's a look at how other Deacs in the MLS fared during the last week.
Midfielder Corben Bone made his professional debut in Chicago's 4-1 loss to Toronto FC. Bone entered the game as a substitute in the 50th minute.
Midfielder Brian Carroll started and played the full 90 minutes in Columbus' 3-2 win over New England. Carroll has started five games this season for the Crew.
Midfielder Sam Cronin was available as a substitute, but did not play in Toronto FC's 4-1 win over Chicago. Cronin has played in three games in 2010, including two starts.
Midfielder Austin da Luz did not play in New York's 4-0 loss to San Jose.
Goalkeeper Will Hesmer started in goal and earned the win in Columbus' 3-2 victory over New England. Hesmer has played every minute in goal this season for the Crew and has a 3-0-2 record with a 1.00 goals against average.
Midfielder Michael Lahoud did not play in either of Chivas USA's games last week. Lahoud has played in four games this season, including three starts, and has one assist on the season.
Defender Ike Opara did not play in San Jose's 4-0 win against New York. Opara has started four games on the season and has two goals.
Defender Pat Phelan started and played the entire 90 minutes in both of New England's games last week. Phelan added his first assist of the season in Saturday's game against Columbus. Phelan has played in eight games this season for the Revolution, including seven starts.
Defender James Riley started and played the full 90 minutes in Seattle's 4-0 loss to Los Angeles. Riley has started seven games this season for the Sounders.
Forward Zack Schilawski played in both games for New England last week. Schilawski started against Chivas USA and came off the bench as a substitute against Columbus. Schilawski has played in eight games this season, including seven starts, and has four goals.
Forward Scott Sealy entered as a substitute in the 84th minute in San Jose's 4-0 win over New York. Sealy has played in two games this season for the Earthquakes.
Midfielder Wells Thompson started and played 45 minutes in Colorado's 1-0 loss to Los Angeles. Thompson has played in seven games this season for the Rapids, including three starts.
