WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Former Demon Deacon Will Hesmer recorded his third shutout of the season to lead Columbus to another win. Here's a look at how other Deacs in the MLS fared during the last week.
Midfielder Corben Bone did not play in Chicago's 2-2 tie with Kansas City. Bone has played in one game during his rookie season.
Midfielder Brian Carroll started and played the full 90 minutes in Columbus' 1-0 win over Chivas USA. Carroll has started all six games this season for the Crew.
Midfielder Sam Cronin started and played the full 90 minutes in Toronto FC's 0-0 tie with Los Angeles. Cronin has played in four games this season, including three starts.
Midfielder Austin da Luz did not play in New York's 1-0 loss to Seattle.
Goalkeeper Will Hesmer started in goal and recorded his third shutout of the season in Columbus' 1-0 win over Chivas USA. Hesmer has a 4-0-2 record this season for the Crew and a 0.83 goals against average.
Midfielder Michael Lahoud started and played 83 minutes in Chivas USA's 1-0 loss to Columbus. Lahoud has played in five games this season, including four starts, and has one assist.
