Williamson Named Primetime Performer by College Baseball 360

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Redshirt freshman Mac Williamson has been named a primetime performer by College Baseball 360 after leading Wake Forest to a 3-1 record last week, including a series win against Clemson.
A native of Wake Forest, N.C., Williamson finished last week with a .438 (7-for-16) batting average with four home runs and 10 RBIs. Williamson, who had at least one hit in all four games last week, posted a 1.313 slugging percentage on the week and a .444 on-base percentage to finish the week with an OPS of 1.757.
Williamson turned in a pair of multi-homer games on the week and now has hit two homers in three games this season. He opened the week with a career-best performance in a 22-9 win at UNC Greensboro. Williamson hit a pair of homers and drove in a career-high six runs in the victory over the Spartans. He continued his power surge in the series opener against Clemson, adding two more home runs and driving in four runs. Williamson added a hit and a run scored in each of the last two games of the series in helping the Deacs to a series win against the Tigers.
For the season, Williamson is hitting .278 with seven home runs and 36 RBIs. Williamson has also stolen 12 bases on the season, which ranks third on the team.
Wake Forest closes the season this weekend with three games against the Maryland Terrapins. Game times are set for 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday.
