WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The collegiate summer baseball season is in full swing. Here's a look at how current Wake Forest baseball players are faring in summer ball.
Cape Cod Collegiate Baseball League
Sophomore Michael Dimock has started two games on the mound for Bourne and has an 0-1 record with a 7.50 ERA. In 6.0 innings pitched, Dimock has allowed five runs on nine hits with four strikeouts.
Sophomore Austin Stadler has started two games for Bourne and is 0-1 with a 3.11 ERA. Stadler has struck out 11 in 8.2 innings and has given up four runs, three earned, on six hits.
Northwoods League
Sophomore Gabe Feldman has pitched in five games, including a start, with the Rochester Honkers. Feldman has a 1-1 record with a 2.05 ERA. In 22.0 innings of work, Feldman has allowed seven runs, five earned, on 20 hits with 10 strikeouts.
Alaskan Collegiate Baseball League
Sophomore Zach White has appeared in seven games, all out of the bullpen, for the Anchorage Bucs. White has shined in relief, posting a 1-0 record and a 0.87 ERA. White has not allowed a hit in 10.1 innings and has given up one run, while striking out 12.
New York Collegiate Baseball League
Freshman Matt Conway has started 11 games for the Amsterdam Mohawks and is hitting .293 with a team-high tying two homers and a team-high 13 RBIs. On the mound, Conway has pitched in two games, with one start, and has an 0-1 record with a 5.14 ERA.
Redshirt freshman Taylor Kaprive has appeared in 12 games, including 11 starts, for the Alfred Thunder. Kaprive is hitting .119 with three homers and two stolen bases.
Sophomore Daniel Marrs has made relief outings in three games for the Oneonta Outlaws and has a 0-0 record with a 17.18 ERA.
Freshman Justin Van Grouw has started four games on the mound for Amsterdam. Van Grouw has compiled a 1-0 record with a 2.45 ERA in 18.1 innings. Van Grouw has struck out 20 batters and surrendered six runs, five of them earned.
Valley Baseball League
Incoming freshman Brett Armour has played in nine games, with seven starts, for the Harrisonburg Turks. Armour is hitting .286 with two RBIs.
Incoming freshman Brian Holmes has started two games on the mound for Harrisonburg and has an 0-1 record with a 4.70 ERA. In 7.2 innings, Holmes has allowed six runs, four earned, on five hits with four strikeouts. Opponents are hitting just .192 against Harris.
Cal Ripken, Sr., Collegiate Baseball League
Freshman Pat Blair has played in 12 games for Youse's Orioles and is hitting .308 with five RBIs. Blair ranks tied for third on the team with a .404 on-base percentage.
Freshman Jack Carey has appeared in 15 games for the Baltimore Redbirds and is hitting .164 with four RBIs. Carey is tied for second on the team with nine run scores.
Freshman Tim Cooney has started four games for the Baltimore Redbirds and has a 1-1 record with a 3.38 ERA. Cooney has allowed 11 runs, nine earned, on 22 hits with 19 strikeouts in 24.0 innings.
Freshman Mark Rhine has played in 12 games for the Baltimore Redbirds and leads the team with a .367 batting average with seven RBIs. Rhine has also hit a team-high four doubles and scored a team-best 10 runs.
Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League
Junior Mark Adzick has pitched in four games, including two starts, for the Kernersville Bulldogs. Adzick, who has a complete game to his credit, is 1-0 on the summer with a 3.65 ERA. Adzick is second on the team with 21 strikeouts in 12.1 innings pitched.
Junior Eli Robins has made four outings out of the bullpen for Kernersville. Robins does not have a record and has a 2.25 ERA. In 4.0 innings, Robins has given up a run on a hit with four strikeouts.
Great South Collegiate League
Junior Ryan Lloyd has played in one game for the Newnan Braves and is 0-for-1 at the plate and has been hit by a pitch.
Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League
Freshman Martin Kelly has played in seven games, including six starts, for the North Jersey Eagles. Kelly is hitting .150 with an RBI and a stolen base.
