Caitlin Farrell Joins FC Twente

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Former Wake Forest women's soccer player Caitlin Farrell has signed with FC Twente in the Netherlands and will play for the club's women's team while earning a master's degree in communications.
A defender from Ft. Myers, Fla., Farrell started every game of the 2008 and 2009 seasons for the Demon Deacons and ranks second in school history with 90 games played. She was a member of a Wake Forest defense that notched a school record 15 shutouts during the 2009 season and was named to the 2009 NSCAA All-Southeast region team.
In her four-year career, Farrell scored five goals, including three game winners, and had four assists for a total of 14 points. In January, she was selected in the Women's Professional Soccer draft but elected to forgo professional career at the time in order to finish her degree at Wake Forest.
