Wake Forest Baseball Summer Update

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The collegiate summer baseball season is in its second month. Here's a look at how current Wake Forest baseball players are faring in summer ball.
Cape Cod Collegiate Baseball League
Sophomore Michael Dimock has pitched in three games, including two starts for Bourne and has a 0-1 record with a 5.00 ERA. In 9.0 innings pitched, Dimock has allowed five runs on 11 hits with nine strikeouts.
Sophomore Austin Stadler has started four games for Bourne and is 1-1 with a 3.66 ERA. Stadler has struck out 19 in 19.2 innings and has given up 10 runs, eight earned, on 14 hits.
Northwoods League
Sophomore Gabe Feldman has pitched in seven games, including a start, with the Rochester Honkers. Feldman has a 1-1 record with a 2.42 ERA. In 26.0 innings of work, Feldman has allowed 11 runs, seven earned, on 27 hits with 11 strikeouts.
Alaskan Collegiate Baseball League
Sophomore Zach White has appeared in nine games with two starts for the Anchorage Bucs. White has had a stellar summer to this point, posting a 2-1 record with a 1.21 ERA. In 22.1 innings pitched, White has given up three runs on nine hits, while fanning 18.
New York Collegiate Baseball League
Freshman Matt Conway has started 19 games for the Amsterdam Mohawks and is hitting .276 with three homers and 21 RBIs, which ranks second on the team. On the mound, Conway has pitched in six games, with one start, and has a 0-1 record with a 3.21 ERA.
Redshirt freshman Taylor Kaprive has appeared in 21 games, including 20 starts, for the Alfred Thunder. Kaprive is hitting .162 with five RBIs and five stolen bases.
Sophomore Daniel Marrs has made relief outings in four games for the Oneonta Outlaws and has a 0-0 record with a 12.71 ERA.
Freshman Justin Van Grouw has started five games on the mound for Amsterdam. Van Grouw has compiled a 1-0 record with a 2.22 ERA in 24.1 innings. Van Grouw has struck out a team-high tying 27 batters and surrendered seven runs, six of them earned.
Valley Baseball League
Incoming sophomore Brett Armour has played in 15 games, with 10 starts, for the Harrisonburg Turks. Armour is hitting .205 with two RBIs.
Incoming sophomore Brian Holmes started two games on the mound for Harrisonburg and had a 0-1 record with a 4.70 ERA. In 7.2 innings, Holmes allowed six runs, four earned, on five hits with four strikeouts. Opponents hit just .192 against Harris in his two starts.
Cal Ripken, Sr., Collegiate Baseball League
Freshman Pat Blair has played in 16 games for Youse's Orioles and is hitting .278 with five RBIs, four stolen bases and three doubles.
Freshman Jack Carey has appeared in 24 games for the Baltimore Redbirds and is hitting .153 with five RBIs and five stolen bases.
Freshman Tim Cooney has started five games for the Baltimore Redbirds and has a 2-1 record with a 2.70 ERA. Cooney has allowed 11 runs, nine earned, on 25 hits with 27 strikeouts in 30.0 innings.
Freshman Mark Rhine has played in 21 games for the Baltimore Redbirds and is tied for second on the team with a .333 batting average and 10 RBIs. Rhine is also tied for second with six doubles and has scored a team-best 16 runs.
Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League
Junior Mark Adzick has pitched in six games, including three starts, for the Kernersville Bulldogs. Adzick, who has a complete game to his credit, is 2-0 on the summer with a 4.87 ERA. Adzick is second on the team with 32 strikeouts in 20.1 innings pitched.
Junior Eli Robins has made five outings out of the bullpen for Kernersville. Robins does not have a record and has a 10.29 ERA.
Great South Collegiate League
Junior Ryan Lloyd has played in five games for the Newnan Braves and is hitting .182 with a double and a run scored. Lloyd has posted a .500 on-base percentage after drawing four walks and getting hit by a pitch three times.
