The Wake Forest women's basketball team is about two weeks away from the start of practice and the excitement around the team is beginning the pick-up. One of the new members of the team is freshman Jaymee Carnes. Jaymee recently did a Q and A with WakeForestSports.com which can be seen below.
The nickname everyone calls me is.... Jay
I chose the number 25 because.... I had never had the number 25, but someone close to me wore it, so I decided to wear it.
My goals over the next four years are.... To win an ACC championship, make great friends, and graduate with a great degree.
I chose Wake Forest because.... I loved the coaching staff, the small campus, and the great academics.
The thing that impressed me the most about Coach Petersen and his staff was.... They really care about their players and never pressured me into making a decision. They were all really easy to talk to.
My favorite basketball moment was..... Winning the Lanierland Tournament and Lanierland MVP my junior year.
My pregame superstitions or routines are..... Listening to music, dancing, praying, trying to get hyped up!
My favorite music artists are..... Corey Smith, Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, and John Mayer
Something most people don't know about me is..... I love to read!
Best advice from Mom or Dad..... Work hard in everything you do, and you will have no regrets.
Describe your style of play in one word..... Versatile

The top-3 things on my bucket list are.... Go to the Bahamas, go scuba diving, and sky-diving
